STRONGHOLD 2 GAME TIME PLUS

Stronghold Crusader / Stronghold Crusader Extreme - Basically the same game with Extreme adding a few extra features. Unfortunately, the balance is off and multiplayer, when I played it more often, had severe lag problems. Stronghold Crusader 2 - the new units promised to add a tactical aspect to the game that was missing in other games in the series. I think Stronghold 2 has a bit too much micromanaging for my taste.

I like the battle aspect of the game and view the economy as a means to building my army. doesn't care, after all it cheats like all hell. Just attack with some mantlets and you win(wall hoardings are actually better than towers!!) + the difficulties of acutally maintaing a high tax economy. Talking of defensive capabilities, that's IMO the biggest problem with stronghold crusader 2, man towers are worthless in this game. This ment you actually needed a significantly greater army to take a castle, so it became so much more important to mess with your opponents economy. But IMO it's the best stronghold regarding the strongholds you can create, having some of the strongest defensive capabilities, with massive towers, gates, hoardings for towers and walls that could only be destroyed by siege weapons instead of by soldiers.

Plus it was well implemented both in regards to balancing and squashing of bugs.Īnd while I really enjoyed Stronghold 2's honour system it IMO suffered most from its map pool. Added many new features compared to the original, while still maintaining a clear vision.
